1. Go for the salad in olive oil based dressings. You can’t go wrong with a salad because it usually constitutes fresh veggies and fruits. What you have to check is the dressing. As much as possible stay away from mayo based dressings. Olive oil will do the job for you.
2. If you’re in a family type restaurant where the ambience is cozy and less intimidating, you can share a meal together. It’s wiser and it’s sweeter. Most of the restaurants nowadays have their own list of entrees. Most of the time these entrees can feed a lot more that than the “good for two” status. This way you can control the food that you’re eating because you’re sharing it with someone else.
3. Be honest about your healthy lifestyle. Tell your date that you’ve been dieting for some time now so he can arrange a restaurant where you can be comfortable with the choices of food. Also ask for suggestion from your server. Usually, servers are trained to inform customers what they need to know about the food in the restaurant.
