Setting Weight Loss Goals
In every aspect of your life, you have to set goals. These goals will guide you to aim higher and pull yourself together to attain victory. These goals are your yardstick to success. To lose weight is yet another goal. And just like any other goals in your life, you need to know how to set your goals. The following are some tips in setting your weight loss goals.
1. Be realistic. You just can’t jot down that you need to loss 20 pounds in a week. That’s not just possible, it’s also an exaggeration. And when you exaggerate, you defeat the purpose of your goal. Set a goal that is hard but attainable. You can search online or ask a friend or visit a doctor to make sure that you are still within the possible range of your goals. Remember that goals are meant to inspire you to aim for the best and they are not there to tell you that you’re a disappointment.
2. Never say “Never!” You’re human and you’re bound to make mistakes. In fact, you’re expected to make mistakes. Ever heard of the saying, the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak? Even if you are labeled as the most control freak on earth, you will still have your moments of weaknesses. A bite of a doughnut should not be a reason for you to promise that you’ll never eat another one ever. It shouldn’t be like you’re trapping yourself, instead it should be like you’re braving the shaky ground to go through to the other end.
